astonhen wrote:yes a nice back, kc offense needed a game breaker, he's got good balance, good vision, no speed. no threat to make a long run, 4 year starter a lot of carries, i would like to see more of a Bennett type back, puts so much stress on defense, opens the passing game up safety aren't concerned about the run they will also catch up with him

Hayes was certainly fast enough before he went down and Walter Davis was a burner but couldn't hardly earn a carry in 4 years.
AP is an All American for friggen sakes and with Laing & Randolph (225) we don't need anyone else in 2013.

Thomas was recruited as a wide receiver and switched to running back during preseason camp - We could use him as a WR

Why wouldn't he play CB where he was last season? We have a ton of WR's. Good ko return numbers.

When KC came in he threw the previous depth chart in the toilet and started from scratch. It will be interesting to see what approach Dave will take.

I think Opoku wants to be a WR...aside from Kerr...the transfers this year did little but eat up scholarships....

In regards to BROCKS offesive statistics at RUTGERS, I go back to what the late JOHHN WOODEN, UCLA said about winning, "The three most important elements of a championship team, regardless of any sport are, 1. RECRUITING, 2. RECRUITING, 3. RECRUITING". If you don't have the horses, your not going to win any races. He also said as a motivation speaker, "That GREAT ATHELETES can make any coach look good, and a very good coach without those GREAT ATHELETES may never harbor a championship team.

Don't forget, Brock apparently runs a 'pro', or two-back set, which means one fewer WR. If that's the case, unless Thomas is better than Johnson, Clark, Peterson, Doe, Jones, etc., he might be better utilized as a CB. Also, wouldn't be surprised to see a transfer or late RB recruit or two.

Coach Brock will evaluate the team needs, listen to his assistant coaches and make an INFORMED decision. Evaluation will begin soon.

Let's hope #11 can convince them to let him block a few punts..... he can do it but never seemed to be a part of the gameplan in years past

Good to hear. I expect a fair amount of change in players' futures, if due to a change in systems and nothing else.

at least he will be taking a fresh look at players and yes your right, probably less receivers on the field ..... I just want the most talented players out there regardless of what position they play
