BHBK
For what it's worth Rutgers DID run a 2-back set the majority of the time this season. They have actually used a fullback for a few years there.

I don't care if he has a 5 back backfield, here's what cocerns me: According to ESPN: Rutgers ranked toward the bottom half of the Big East stats in scoring offense, total offense, rushing offense and passing offense. It ranked worse in every category but rushing offense than a year ago. Rutgers scored a total of 33 points in its final three Big East games -- the last two losses. Had Rutgers been able to find any semblance of consistency on offense in losses to Pitt and Louisville, it would have gone to the BCS.

4.45 190lbs, hes a running back at UD, AP is a nice back but, cant break the long runs, doesn't put defense on its heels

Cobb signed with UVA to play fullback...maybe a switch back to his natural position is in order.

In all honesty, that OC hire and whether the OC is going to run the offense is possibly more important than Brock.

"AP is a nice back"? Come on, the guy's going to be one of the top rushers of all time at UD and he's a "nice back"?

Don't confuse anything I said with his offense at Rutgers being successful - I agree with you 100%. All I said was they use a FB. Somebody else commented on the NFL having to be re-introduced to using a fullback: I guess you don't watch the Ravens then.

yes a nice back, kc offense needed a game breaker, he's got good balance, good vision, no speed. no threat to make a long run, 4 year starter a lot of carries, i would like to see more of a Bennett type back, puts so much stress on defense, opens the passing game up safety aren't concerned about the run they will also catch up with him

Running a pro set will improve the O once they get past the learning curve.

We just didn't have the right people to win with KC's spread.

I hear what you're saying - AP doesn't have breakaway speed we can agree on that, but he makes up for not having blazing speed by hitting & getting through holes as quickly as anyone.

I actually will care greatly if Brock runs a 5-back offense. Can you imagine the incompetence of a guy who runs his offense out of an illegal formation?

Among #BlueHens Dave Brock will coach is transfer Jordan Thomas.Led Rutgers in rushing in '10, moved to DB, left to run track at Binghamton.
6'1 190 last listed at Rutgers....could be a RB or a DB here....

Nah, the KC Haters only used the Transfers as a weapon against him. Tubby used transfers as well and even said that if he didn't use them his competition would
Welcome Coach Brock: May you have as much success, or more, as your last four Predecessors.

I will say this for Brock, he was able to adjust to Huggins not being the guy and recognizing Jamison as his main back last year...helped the young man into this year's draft.
