Welcome Coach Brock

Postby TenHenMember on Fri Jan 18, 2013 2:20 pm

The University has spent a lot of money upgrading the facilities, all of which are designed to help with recruiting. At the end of the day Coach Brock will be essentially given a “free pass” this year regardless of the final record. His future and how long he stays here is dependent upon his win and loss record, and on how he recruits. 8) The team is certainly capable of making the playoffs this year and from there who knows. :) To me, the most important decision he makes will be regarding the Defensive Coordinator. How about bringing Cohen (LB Coach) with him from Rutgers to be the Defensive Coordinator????   The offensive has a lot of good talent on it and Hurley will be better this year. The defensive has been a horrible tackling team and that needs to improve. I would also like to see the defense be more creative in their pass coverage and by applying more pressure on the QB…..

Oddly enough Coach Brock is coming from Rutgers and that is where my daughter goes to school… :D :D :D :D :D :D

Welcome and Good Luck Coach Brock.. :) :) :) :)

Not sure about a "free pass" with the talent we we have coming back this year, at least from the fanbase. Brock is walking into a terrific position that enables him to win year one.

This belongs on the basketball threads. Football? Handrails?

Tongue-in-cheek?

1. University has put in handrails probably because they were forced to by some Safety Police
2. Brock is walking into a hornets nest. No "Free Pass".
3. Future here is dependent on Football Revenue alone, not on W-L record. see "Ross, Monte" and "Keeler, Kurt Charles"

Maybe returning players is the word I should have used.
