[quote1) I have always liked KC but I am looking forward to some changes. We will get a a new offense. I am tired of scoring 1 TD a game. I believe, KC has recruited well but I'm not sure he always fit his offense to the players. I hope Brock is up to that task.

Ron, you wouldn't have liked RU last year then.

An interesting hire to say the least.

Appears the most important question during the interview process was "have you ever worked with Ziady before?"

This isn't a hire where the Coach "earned" the position...for starters, if nearly any other BCS OC in the entire country also applied for the job, they would immediately be deemed more "qualified" than Brock, who presided over a horrendous Rutgers offense.

So Ziady sees potential in Brock, the only conclusion one can reach since Brock's past performances haven't earned him this job, and potential is something you can only see in someone you've worked closely with.

At $300,000 per year, I would have preferred to see Delaware hire the head coach at say Central Arkansas, South Dakota State, Eastern Washington, Montana State, ect...than take a chance on a first time Head Coach who previously served as the OC for one of the worst offenses in the country.

Lets play some football... Just dont change the Uni's

Joe C is juiced... Lets add some key speed as it is much needed. I would think the O line would be priority number 1 for Brock and his new staff

Welcome to Newark Mr. Brock... We are a proud group winning w integrity and losing w dignity. We expect changes. We dont expext a drop in

our proud heritage which includes class and character. We will support you all the while playing Monday morning quarter backs. We will be a factor in every

game. Here is to you Mr Brock and Hopefully you forge a new lagacy. You have tough shoes to fill not only as a coach but as a person.

Your are following 3 class acts. Nelson, Raymond (the best of the best) and Keeler. Thank you once gain Coach K. I am sure you will find success

elsewhere. Mr Brock, all we ask is that we play hard nosed bone crushing football. That we hold our heads high in victory and higher in defeat.

As former Phillies great Richie Allen 15 once said All you owe us is a hard game of ball. We want that plus the same integrity and succes that we have

become accustomed too. I offer one tip bring back our homefield advantage. I challenge Blue Hen Nation to support our Guy to make the Tub a nasty house of Pain.

One more thing Mr Brock As always and from Joe C a die hard fan yes Doc "the first 15 is on me" Lets get nasty and play physical UD football

Lets play some darn football....Play hard Play Loose and play it to the end...

Welcome Mr Brock Now get to work time is a waisting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this hire makes me want to vomit. Boston COllege and Rutgers are not exactly football hotbeds and certainly not somewhere I would look to find a coaching gem. His resume is spotty. Our offense has been a snoozer since 2002 and will continue to be. I certainly hope he has some Delaware heritage on his staff, because he more than likely will not get it from a tradition standpoint. I would love to hear the opinions of former players and of course Tubby's. I lost a lot of confidence in EZ today. Much like Kevin Anderson at UM, he took a golden opportunity to make an impact and crapped the bed. I just hope we do not have to go through what UM fans are going through with arguably the worst football team in the ACC the past 2 years. His coaching staff will be telling.

What was the name of that UD President from Boston University who didn't work out and was canned after a year or so? Silber?

"National search" for a new coach?

If anyone believes that garbage, they deserve their role as a sucker.

They had to post the position...but you are kidding yourself if you believe there was any chance we'd hire anyone other than Brock.

The first major move our new AD made was to lie to the fan base. And some people are OK with that.
UD football...playoff bound in 2013...with KC's recruits.

Russell Jones came from Boston University, not Boston College.

Post of the day WELL SAID Cluck! While I have no problem with the firing, I am less than thrilled with this hire. I would love to hear what made him the best candidate other than having a Beer with the athletic director at christmas time. What is he going to do, go into a recruits house and say...........I was the OC at Rutgers and we ranked near the bottom of every offensive category in FBS last year........Come play for me?

I find it beyond interesting that several who felt that Hohfer was limited by Keeler apparently don't think Brock was limited by Flood...even though Flood was publicly fairly clear about the way HE felt football needed to be played in the northeast.

How about we play a game first? Hell, how about we have a Spring Game before we judge his offense.

Coach got jokes, man!

Maybe Brock too will leave after a year and someone will put up a clock in the stadium for his efforts. Admittedly a press box would be nicer.

As an aside, is K.C. going to have his head bronzed for placement in the SEZ? And if so would that be with or without the glasses?

So Ziady comes from Boston College after he was passed over for the top job there. He then hires a novice head coach with a "spotty record" and says that this is all about energizing the fan base. Hmmmm.

Now, I expect that both Ziady and Brock will do their best because it is in their best interests to do so. And maybe we will all be pleased with what happens. However, whatever discontent exists among UD fans should more properly be focused on Harker and Douglas. Both of these guys seem to operate on the assumption that anyone who was connected to UD before they arrived has nothing to offer -- and that is seen at all levels of the institution. The part of this scenario I cannot fathom is why Monte Ross still has a job.

Well, that mindset is especially problematic when it abuts the provincial (though that word in this context is an insult to actual provinces) mindset of many that ONLY people connected with UD before have SOMEthing to offer.

"UD ties only" vs the field? No brainer. It's a HUGE world out there, people...
