This. +1. Short memories to have already forgotten what the end of the season felt like.

Many people have, or haven't you noticed? And yes, my own record of attending games is way down, probably to half the games anymore. And seriously, I've been going to games every year for 41 years and your advice is to just stop going? Are you a UD administrator, because if not, you seem to have the right stuff to be one. Super outlook.

Well, the battle lines are already being drawn for next season.

I think it's going to be pretty predictable which posters are going to throw in the towel very quickly and call for the HC's and AD's head.

I'm pretty much in the same camp as joe c. Unless the folks that missed last season with injuries are all Supermen, we've got some pretty serious issues along the O-line, at QB, and very likely at each level in the defense (at the very least depth).

To paraphrase a recently fired coach, 'the UD cupboard is bare'. I don't see immediate fixes.

But, a new set of posters will kvetch about the new coach not living up to the old coach. Some things never change.

just looking out for ya, I mean what you described as your game day experience sounded like more than just a chore for you at this stage, more like a torture session, Hey Honey get the kids in the car and lets get down to Newark for our Saturday waterboarding...... sounds like you need a Vegas weekend .... lets face it, your self-described bored blase un-interested demeanor might just be rubbing off on the rest of the fans....

+1

Personally a guy with brass balls deserves more respect than he's getting here. Leaving KC in place another season was the easy way out and he did not take that road. He knows his entire UD legacy and future career here or anywhere rides on this hire alone and I for one support any pick he made.

He did not hire a crony IMO: he hired a man he knew, that was best suited for the job he wants done. Ala Bob Carpenter. And he did not judge him on one year in his resume!! Kudos EZ

Can't wait to hear about the staff and see the spring game!! Go Hens!!

Or them on me. It's funny how people not showing up anymore starts to affect those that still do (I'll give you a pass for not ever being there since you are literally on an island). Heck, I was one of very few in attendance for most of those playoff games in 2010 so tell me again how un-interested I am.

Coach Brock-----We must get much stronger physically and much faster on the field. And for heavens sake do something different in coaching the players and the game. Take a good, calculated risk now and then. It went well for Chip Kelly at UNH...this is your shot.

As John and Yoko sang, " All we are saying, is give Brock a chance". Or something like that.

Can't wait till this guy starts winning, "Best coach ever!"

I'm more interested in who gets hired for OC to be honest with you. That's where our problem lied. So much talent with our offense, and no numbers to show for it on the field. We have great receivers, a hopefully matured good quarterback, an excellent running back, and a matured line returning this year. Lets get a coach in here that can use that to our advantage!

I stopped going to the games because we put a boring product on the field. Last straw for me was a boring win against DSU a few years go, and I'm one of the people in favor of playing that game. So while i like Keeler as a representative of UD, im ready for fresh blood in the coaching position. The last few years we've done nothing but gripe about our offense, and now that we've hired a guy who had one year at Rutgers where they had a slow finish offensively, we can't break the griping habit? Sorry, that reflects a mentality from the fan base. But my UDAF giving is way up, mostly because of WBB, so as I said on another thread a while back, I guess I'm part of the problem in the eyes of many here because I voted for the administration with my dollars. As have many other UDAF givers, clearly, since giving is up and somebody in that crowd is willing to give a million for this move.

How do you reinvigorate a program with such a "soft" hire? I just don't get it. I'll give him my support but this reeks of making a change just for the sake of removing KC to see what can happen with the program. I mean, come on, this shows no forethought at all. If you're going to go from boring #1 to boring #2, why bother?

It kinda has that feeling of when you see your old girlfriend now dating your little brother. WTF?
Keepin' it real.

Pat Devlin, current Miami Dolphins quarterback and former Delaware All-American: "Welcome to Coach Brock. I've heard so many great things about him and I can't wait to watch the new era of Blue Hen football.”

hmmmm, I could see Mr. Devlin back in Newark in the future in some capacity. Word is the audible was one of his favorite plays while in Newark , sometimes I think it would be better to let certain QB's call the plays
