Eagles or Hens

Neither's process seems to be impressing their fans, so who gets a coach first?

So, let me get this straight. He turns down the Eagles and goes back to Oregon for more money. Now he jumps ship to the NFL. Just how much money is Lurie throwing at Kelly?

Early rumors are he'll be the richest coach in the history of football. Saw one report that had it at $8M per.

It will be interesting to see how guys like Kaepernick, RG3, Wilson, and Newton hold up in the next five years hold up. If offense can find ways to keep these guys healthy and upright then Kelley will do fine in the NFL. But the beatings these guys take running that option read is pretty intense. No wonder 3/4 QB's left in the playoffs are pocket passers.

We were pissed when K.C. was fired right before signing day. What must the faithfull in Eugene be thinking? Can't imagine Kelly will be getting X-Mas cards from them next year!

Chip Kelly's QB this year ran the ball less than RGIII. You don't need to have the QB run excessively for it to work.

A lot no doubt, but I wonder how much NCAA investigators have on Oregon.

It's not the money that swayed Kelly, but rather, the amenities by being a coach in the 'City of Brotherly Love'. The sober, empathic, altruistic, mellow, attitudes of Philly fans are beyond reproach.

Couldn't disagree more...the threat of Mariota's legs kept defenses on the toes just as much as the tempo of their offense. Had over 100 rushes and 750 plus yards. It created mis matches and helped Barner immensly. Oregon was and still is a run based team and that helped Mariota progression as a passer during the course of the year.

And the QB still ran less this year than 2 years ago and that was when they had a real feature back in James.
