What's the problem with that? Nepotism seems to work when it comes to UD Football...

And he's been in the NFL for his entire career other than a 3 year stint at UVA, and he's never been a coordinator at any stop, let alone a head coach. His biggest claim to fame is that he's Jason Garrett's brother, and if things continue to go as they are in Dallas after next year Jason Garrett could be looking for a job. I just don't see it.

could not agree more.

The Insider reports that Brock is hired, he brings in his BC cronies and EZ petitions the BOT to change the mascot to the Blue Eagles.

Stalk? Wish it were that easy, Bill. Clearly you don't know how this thing works. I'm not sure what the price is these days, but I had to wash the columnist's fleet of cars and cut the grass at his estate for the supreme honor of getting quoted (twice!) in the pages of the NJ all of those years ago. It was well worth it. Nearly everyone recognizes the transformative power and advantage that sort of notoriety buys you.

But don't sound so bitter about being left out, pal. If you hang in there long enough, perhaps Mr. Tresolini (as I've been reminded to call him) will throw you a bone too one of these days.

They could hire John, Paul, George & Ringo as assistants and the team nickname to the Blue Meanies for all that I care. Just win, baby.

Garrett would be a bad hire. Here is a guy looking to get out of a bad situation in Dallas. It's being reported he's also calling other NFL teams for jobs at the moment. In my opinion, IF he were to get this job, you know he would be on the phone ASAP looking for a way to get back into the NFL.

I remember watching him in on Hard Knocks a few years back. He seemed to command zero respect from his players!

From the Cowboys website

Not saying this is MY guy, I honestly didn't know he or Brock existed prior to yesterday. Nepotism aside, the guy has significant NFL experience and coordinates something at the NFL level.

Haha, I have a ride-on for my lawn but it doesn't cross state lines. My reaction was bitter, it was spit -your- water- you're- drinking- out laughter.

I was pleasantly surprised that Garrett's name came out last night. Not that Garrett was anything tremendous (as NFL rumors have been flying that he won't be employed in Dallas next season) but that it was a different name.

Ziady wasn't really talked about much before he was hired, I'd like a pleasant surprise with the HC as well as my stomach has been turning into a tighter knot over the past couple days thinking about what our football program is turning into.

NFL Network just reported that John Garrett will not be returning next season, but no other news. Hmmm.... :?:

I have known Kevin Tresolini for many years. On a few occasions over those years, Kevin has asked me for my opinion as a UD fan on a few UD athletic issues. The same is true for many other UD fans who Kevin has quoted over the yerars.
