4. See point 2.

If it's true, get ready for an absolutely boring offense. I would tape RU games so if I had trouble sleeping at night I'd throw the game on and BAM....instant coma.

I know my opinion is just my opinion...but Brock and Cohen are very comparable. Both are coordinators at the same school for heaven's sake. I don't see one factor that makes Brock a better choice than Cohen for the Delaware job. Cohen has head coaching experience at this level...is known as a great recruiter and knows the Delaware job very well. Brock's only advantage is that he knows Ziady from BC and has no connection to UD or its fans.

Cohen is defensive and has proven that he knows how to do it, proof 2003 hens and Rutgers. Brock has not shown that he can run an offense. After reading the comments on the Rutgers boards - it would appear that the Rutger fans would be HAPPY to be rid of him.

Invigorate the fan base, my a$$.

I will restate that if this is the guy, I am going to have to reassess my position on the firing.

they are talking about reinvigorating the fanbase. UMD was talking ab out the same thing. and then they hired Edsell. Fanbase in revolt. if they think that this guy will reinvigorate anything then they have absolutely no clue.

Latest KT article talks up Knowles from Duke. Yes, Duke. Can't see this at all. http://www.delawareonline.com/article/20130112/SPORTS07/301120046/Duke-coordinator-called-great-UD-football-job?nclick_

That's what has many of us slightly concerned. EZ's old bosses' son is kind of a scary thought also. If it comes down to Hens or Eagles, I think the fan's choice is obvious.

We didn't hire a bozo for our new AD so I'm sure my concerns aren't warranted.

Again, not a very impressive resume in my book. I would rather have a lower level coach with a good win loss record.

Who knew, Duke has a football team?

I think we're all willing to give the next HC a fair shot and behind him 100%. However, with the firing of Keeler, Ziady has raised the bar considerably for all UD coaches. Going forward, UD boosters will also be expecting the AD to hold other UD coaches equally accountable for their records, including the baseball and MBB coaches.

For all of our sakes, let's hope that if Ziady hires 'his boy' Brock that he wins and wins quickly; otherwise, it could be a a brief and uncomfortable stay in Newark for Eric. This is a hire he had better not screw up.

He will not be here long, as the Blue Hen Fan Base will never accept him as one of our own

I hate to say it but E. Ziady has really set himself up for failure.

"We are looking to get the best person for Delaware Football". How do you prove that unless the new coach really hits the ground running and we make the play-offs this year (actually we need to make a deep run).

"We are going to invigorate the fan base". Wow, the folks they are talking about bringing in so far, ZZZZZ. Also, they are going to have to do something other than a new coach to improve the student attendance and to sell more ST. Unless they announce and ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING on stadium improvements, etc. This is going to fall flat.

I would be incredibly disapppointed with someone like Brock. His resume is not impressive at all and certainly would not reinvigorate the fan base. They need to get this hire right. I would rather take a chance on a hungry lower Division coach who has been successful at that level and is innovative.

With all due respect THEY are not talking and for as far off base as KT was on the $1m, donor paid severance to KC, if he's floating these names from the same source they need to be questioned too. There will be enough time to judge EZ after the speculation ends and the facts surface. Patience. We should know this week I would think.
