POLL: Do you agree with the firing?

I'm interested to see the response from the message board regarding the firing.

Hard to answer without knowing why he was fired. Whatever reason, the timing stinks.

I'm undecided. It will depend on who Keeler is replaced with, which should tell us something about the school's commitment to D-I FB. As bad as the results on the field have been the last two season, things can get worse than have been... a lot worse. If the school ups the ante on the FB program and hires a coach that reflects that new commitment, I'm all for it.

I voted No.

Odd decision, crazy timing, from a new AD.

There'd better be a plan so cunning that you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel if one is to make any sense of the timing. Two weeks after our capitulation to 'Nova I can see, but now? Very strange

So might the rest of the coaching staff. Either Ziad is brilliant or a complete buffoon.

It should've been done at the end of last season.
"Athletic director Bernard Muir said it's been a fair tradeoff because UDAF contributions increased by $1.53 million during the 2010-11 fiscal year, and "we've developed a relationship with a lot of people we didn't know before.""

The timing doesn't make sense with the limited facts we have and the fact KC said "I guess they are going in a different direction" tells me
a) He was not given a reason.
b) He does not want the reason made public.
c) There is a lot more to this move we just don't know yet.

No vote until more of the story behind this moves comes out.

That's why I think this firing can't be about the W's & L's. If it was, he would have been hacked right after getting that azz whooping from Nova and closing out the season with four straight losses, finishing 2-6 in the Conference, etc..

I don't want to speculate, so I won't. haha

I agree with many of the voices I'm hearing here. If the announcement was made December 7, it would be a lot easier to see next season as hopeful than the decision being made January 7.

Probably a no brainer that most if not all the current staff are done.

EZ hit the ground running, doing his due diligence. Staff interviews, senior class exit interviews, financial review, financial projections, etc. Unfortunately, that did not include the time to compose adoring email replies to the welcome wagon numbnuts fans.

He arrived on 10/10, and got this all done in only 3 months while finding a home and moving his family. I like the decisiveness. Very un-Delaware like.

I can't buy that this decision was solely the call of the new AD. Even if that's what EZ felt was required, there had to be a lot of support elsewhere.
