Re: Xavier
Hens are competitive with Xavier up to now on their home court. Good effort. Can’t ask for much more.i
Re: Ohio
Poor foul shooting (under 60%) sinks Hens again.
Re: Ohio
Encouraging first half. Good defense so far by Hens, but have to stay away from foul trouble.

Re: Delaware vs George Washington
GW shot 78% from the field in the 2nd half. Was GW that good or did the Hens forget how to play defense? Hens also only went to the line 10 times (making 7). Did they play passively / was there any aggressiveness?
UD's defense was...

Re: The Odds: Delaware State
A couple of observations: The most encouraging thing at this point is that this group plays decent defense and that will go a long ways toward having a good year. Obviously, there are multiple options for scoring points, but every team has some bad shooting games. The defense can compensate for that...

Re: Goldey Beacom
Scoring lots of points is flashy and gains much attention, but good defense is essential to winning championships. The Blue Hens look strong in that regard so far. Staying out of foul trouble will be an important component of that.
P.S. Goldey will prove to be a strong team at their level.
Solid opening night. We have weapons, that’s for sure. Houser is going to free up Davis, a real issue last season IMO.
This is true. But have to hope that neither Davis or Houser gets into foul trouble or has an injur...

Re: Men’s Open Basketball Practice
To my eye, it seems that Houser and Lane are both high quality players and several others show some potential. I like that the new transfers apparently can all "get to the rim" on drives -- something that last year's squad could not do (with Nelson and Davis being the exceptions). This tea...

On the other hand, in a listing of the best "small college" places to live and study, UD ranks third in the country. Maybe too many fun things to do? https://universitybusiness.com/are-these-the-50-best-small-college-areas-to-live-and-study-in-the-u-s/?eml=20220908&oly_enc_id=2915J4525...
