Re: Duquesne

The OL is growing and they need to move the ball by land and by air, whatever works. Well said. I firmly believe that as goes the OL, so goes the remainder of the '23 season. It's sure easier for a OL to run block then pass block. Even if your team is built to throw you adjust and take what's worki...

Re: Duquesne

I'm most concerned about the Special Teams. It's glaring to me with simple but fixable items like Center snaps, both A gap and flank rushes and not staying in lanes on returns. I'm hoping it was a point of emphasis on Bye week Players make mistakes on every team. Coaching questions: Why we kicked d...

Re: Duquesne

Yarns is averaging 10 carries a game and just had a week off. He will be fresh in November even if they increase his workload 50% and he doesn't get injured. He has to have at least 15 cpg or we might see him in the transfer portal. Personally I don't really care if he starts the 3rd team and they p...

Re: Duquesne

You may see Marker back this week. I'm more concerned about the overall growth of the team rather then a specific position . I hope everyone gets a shot Saturday though. O'Connor is doing an exceptional job for a newbie. #3 has experience, that's why he's here. I don't believe we were ever going to ...

Re: Duquesne

As I said in another thread, the dukes gave up TD runs of 71 and 90 yards against LIU. We should run for 300+ yards this week if we just stick to handing the ball to Yarns and Cumby. As the schedule progresses we'll get to see if Ryan adjusts to what DOES works as opposed to his predetermined seaso...

Re: Will Delaware join UMass to the MAC

Tenn I don’t know if fans/students stick around longer. I was at JMU yesterday - sold out Parents Day crowd but I’d estimate only 30% were left in the 4th quarter. I have a granddaughter at JMU, a junior. I was surprised to learn that it's common practice for the majority of students to leave at th...

Re: October 2023

Tenn- We can make a list of concerns that's fairly long but why bother when the season is as everyone expected after 4 games. If things turn upside down like 22 then you and I will jump on it immediately I'm sure. And we always have Sammy experts to answer questions about Ryan even if he spent most ...

Re: October 2023

Vince Papale once chastised me for mentioning that I was an active participant on gohens because he felt the board was out of touch with reality. Certainly that's debatable. Winning is the common denominator we all share and so does the fanbase in general. Caribb is a FCS guru which is like having c...

William & Mary's Yoder Injury

“With him, it will be day-by-day, week-to-week. I’ll tell you, he’s one tough cookie. He’s a tough individual,” London said Monday. “At one point, he’ll be back.”

Re: Game Thread: New Hampshire

I'll say it one more time this season and hopefully I'm over thinking.

We do not have a full time special teams or offensive coordinator.

Most teams do for a purpose.

Re: October 2023

Tenn- This team is a good team because they're 3-1 including a win over another good team in one difficult environment . If they go 9-2 and beat Nova we should all be happy campers and let the playoffs reveal how good a team we have . This season should tell a lot about our new head coach. You ask t...

Re: FBI - New Hampshire

HZ, you aren't hurting anyone's feelings. Not sure why you keep posting that comment. I simply shared an opinion that many football coaches are tight lipped regarding injuries. I was also offering a personal experience on the same subject when I asked a previous Delaware HC who bit my head off for ...

Re: FBI - New Hampshire

That type of reply and approach is hardly limited to our HC. Most Coaches today keep injury related issues close to the vest. Nobody was more secretive than Dave Brock. A couple of us asked at TD Club lunches about a player that had been dinged before and he would let us have it for even asking. I'...

Re: FBI - New Hampshire

Thanks Rich. I always enjoy your input.

Now for the nitpicking.....

I noticed Ryan is still super adamant about injury discussions . You, Kevin , Dan and others always get the same negative growl when you inquire but it's part of the job to do so.
