Re: Stony Brook II

Stony's announcers on FloSports webcast made a point that (unusually) it was UD's third game in 6 days implyng that UD may be fatigued. UD played 3 games in 6 days because the Home game vs. Drexel was whatever reason plyaed on Monday night instead of on Sat.as usual. I don't know when UD bussed to S...

Re: Michigan 3/2

The ground balls, clearing efforts and face offs really worked to keep the Hens down. Thankfully, turnovers were high for UM as well as UD. The high line UM put at midfield to challenge the Hens’ clearing efforts was pretty effective. The Hens seemed to be surprised by it and not sure how to counte...

Re: 2024 Baseball

Wasn't Velasquez supposed to be pitching for UD this season? Als weren't there a couple other Hens who were injured who also are/were expected back this season?

Re: Drexel II

Does MI even try to recruit HS players anymore or is it 100% portal? Well MI signed Houser out of HS for next season and has at least tow offers that we know of to HS players for next season. Macon Emory is the one signed. They have offered Justin Houser, Tyler’s younger brother, who’s 7’0” and cur...

Re: UMass to the MAC

I was told relatively recently from a source that I respect and who should be in a position to know that when UD was considering its move to FBS UD approached the MAC and was told that the MAC had no interest in adding UD. When I asked why, this source said that they did not know. I would appreciate...

Re: UMass to the MAC

The Minutemen not having to fill a 12 game schedule as an independent will free up other eastern seaboard schools to consider home-home contracts with the Hens. Very good point, sir. Not shocked UMass is moving back to the MAC but with all sports this time. Travel would be much the same in CUSA: a ...

Re: Drexel II

Getting a good big man in the CAA is always a challenge, but I'm curious about what the plan was for the frontcourt going into the season. Did Ingelsby and Phillips think Houser, Ray, and Davis were enough in the frontcourt? Houser needs to get stronger, and I think he has a good skill set, but rig...

Re: Drexel II

:D :) Where did Reilly’s game go ? This has been a lost season for him . Looks overmatched in most games . Recruiting is the main reason this season has been underwhelming . Lack of height and outside shooting puts this team at a disadvantage against too many teams . The rotation of only 7 players ...

We are actually regressing honestly, no fire in this team ugh
Maybe they are worn down as the season progresses with the starting five playing most of every game with limited minutes from only two players off the bench except in garbage time?

Re: Penn 2/24

Not handwringing LILax, just supposing. I agree, this team is young in many aspects but quite competitive and fun to watch. At Penn, the team evened the possessions by winning the turnover battle. Just imagining how could it could be if we did better at face offs these days. There is some possibili...

Re: Charleston

Wait…there is some doubt about the lack of fan interest and the lack of fundraising ?  If the Bob were packed, and there was a buzz about UD’s athletic teams, we’d see movement with fundraising, both from a fan perspective and an insitutional one. UD would certainly feel more empowered...

Re: Charleston

We are going to get what we get from MI. This is year 8. He hasn’t gotten it done. He just hasn’t. We are a 4-6 place team in the CAA with 4 being a stretch. We all loved the unexpected run a 4 or 5 place CAA team made 2 years ago but that’s been it. Last year was dismal from the get go following u...

Re: Charleston

It never ceases to amaze me how many Delaware fans, alum, and supporters are just so willing to make excuses and accept mediocrity when it comes to UD Athletics…Football and Basketball, in particular. It feels like Chrissi and the current admin are trying to breakthrough that mindset, but it won’t ...
