Re: Syracuse 3/16
LI Lax, Thanks for the always great scouting report. About thoseUD 1985 & 1986 squads, correct me if I am wrong but wasn't the number of teams in the Men's Div I Lax Championship back then significantly smaller? Of course there were also a significantly smaller number of Men's Lax Div I program...

Re: Women's Ice Hockey
It might not take too long for this program to be successful. There are plenty of great players in the area and very few schools for UD to compete with in the region . The partnership with the Flyers and upgrades to Rust Arena will help get Women’s Hockey off to a great start. Henny, What are the p...

Re: UMass to the MAC
soccer with our excellent new coach is on the rise after a successful season under his leadership. It appears he was an excellent hire by CR. Not saying it should be added but why has UD never entertained wrestling as a sport? As good / big as it is in Delaware, Pennsylvania & New Jersey high s...

Re: CAA Tournament, Quarterfinal: Hofstra
If you want to kill HS recruiting, tell mom & dad their son’s scholarship is only conditional, based on his on court performance, playing time or health. If a HS recruit takes care of his business in the classroom, in the locker room (team rules) and reps UD positively in the community, he leav...

Re: UMass to the MAC
HOW THE HECK did we go from a conversation that the student-athletes deserved a share of the massive media money being paid for the broadcast rights of the games they play in, to a NIL system that asks donors to support paying student-athletes. Asking for a friend. Pretty funny, isn’t it? Those who...

https://temple-news.com/the-outcome-is-the-outcome-temple-athletics-struggles-to-financially-adapt/ Interesting article. Thanks for posting Bobby. I suspect raising significant NIL money year in and year out will be a struggle for most G5 schools. I'm sure a few will be carried by a handful of suga...

Re: Monmouth 2024
LI Lax, Thanks again for your fine scouting report for Monmouth. Any idea how long UD will be with out Cam Acchione and Drew Lenkaitis? I have no idea. Cam could be back this week. No idea what his injury was last week. He played the entire game against Penn, so I assume he was injured in practice....

Re: CAA TOURNAMENT
Another thing that gets my goat is the university is doing nothing to try to grow the fan base for basketball or keep the interest do we have come tournament time?I am on the mailing list for Drexel because I bought tickets from them in the past. For $45 you can get a ticket and a bus to and from t...

UD Softball Stadium Now Has Lights
The UD Softball Stadium now has lights, but still a dirt and grass field. I seem to remember reading about this sometime ago but my searches for any articles about this have been fruitless. I also thought that the UD Softball diamond was going to get at least a partially synthetic turf field as well...
