Re: 2024 Schedule
Hard to understand why anyone would want to change employers for a higher financial reward.

Character building win. I hope!Udforever1 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 11, 2024 8:59 pm Nice finish but wow, we had no business winning that game. Have to be a lot better to open halves. Nice game from Drumgoole.

Re: 2024 Schedule
"As a former University CFO, I absolutely agree with this. Maybe the fee caught UD by surprise but it just has the scent of bad planning." I think it was just a combination of bad, and good, events. Here are those that I can think of. Bad: CAA changes by Joey D, (Campbell, Bryant, etc.), ...

Agree! Greg is a high energy, big "upside" coach. We have been stagnant for way too long. Good things ahead.....UDFootballFan wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2024 3:48 pm Can’t wait for this year to get going.

Re: 2024 Schedule
No season ticket price increase in 2025, which should calm some nerves.
We knew we would have a CAA schedule this year. We dropped two anticipated MEAC teams, and Maine and URI travel to US.
This is a fine transition.

Re: 2024 Schedule
Jax State had just one FBS game in their transition year (2022), losing to Tulsa 54-17. Things turned out alright for them the next year (2023).bluehenbillk wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2024 8:28 am So schedule is to be released today…is it possible in the first of our transition years the Hens could play no FBS games? Yikes!

Re: Future of CAA
I fully expect the Bull Sitter to visit here and tell us how the Griffins move down to the Patriot Legion will be akin and maybe even better overall than Delaware's move to Conference USA. That chap's gotta be a used car salesman or something. "Bull Sitter"! Stop it, you're killing me!

Re: Future of CAA
Yes thanks Russ. The article also popped up in my news feed The Patriot would be a perfect fit for the three schools as they are very conscious about “peer schools”. But as the article mentions W&M would probably need to join as an all sports participant where Richmond and Nofun would only be f...

Re: It's all about winning
Another local sports writer, John Buzby of the Newark Post, was negative on the move. One of his concerns, was that he was looking forward to taking his wife to Williamsburg for a long weekend, when he retired. He did not realize that with the new additions to the CAA, we would likely be playing W&a...
