Re: womens T&F
Bill- I agree. Those items can certainly be a factor in school selection. A factor, sure. One of many. Being the main factor, which Bill seems to allude to, not a chance. Udforever1, I never posted (or implied which is your unsupported view) that it was the "main factor" only that it was ...

Re: Field Hockey, Lacrosse and Men's Soccer Conference?
Soccer headed to the Summit League. I’m somewhat surprised they couldn’t find something closer. Other teams include Denver, UMKC, St Thomas Minnesota, Oral Roberts, and Omaha. Talk about travel. https://twitter.com/DanSteenkamer/status/1775946792514842877 Chrissi gets the L on this decision. Ridicu...

Re: Field Hockey, Lacrosse and Men's Soccer Conference?
All this movement towards long distance conference foes plus the P5 practically making national conferences. I wonder what The Gerard J. Mangone Climate Change Science and Policy Hub at UD has to say about that. The universities push the climate change issue just about more than anyone. Watch what ...

Re: womens T&F
Wish we knew where W T&F and the 6 other sports that aren't sponsored by CUSA will find a home. I don't know how the coaching staff of these 7 programs can recruit when they have no answer to potential recruits' question as to against whom & where they will be competing. It’s pretty easy. Y...

Re: womens T&F
just a quick shoutout to our women's track and field coach K. Iyevbele for her excellent scheduling of meets this year. The Raleigh Relays this past week is a highly respected venue which provides access for our ladies to big time competition and benefits recruiting immensely. thanks Wish we knew w...

Re: 2024 Baseball
Dropped 2 of 3 verse the tribe. Sundays game the starter [Eli A] got hit a bit but the pen shut them down. Our offense just couldnt get going, only four hits and 3 walks with 15 strikeouts & 7 LOB I don't why the coaching staff gave Atiya his first start of the season in the deciding game in th...

5-0.... stellar pitching once again the difference. https://www.henshots.com/Softball/2024/Vs-Drexel-game-1-3-29-24 Great job, Cams, and good to see you. The images of #ACE, Emily Winburn, and her delivery are very interesting. A really fun squad to watch. A lot of high energy, great skills, and th...

Re: Chrissi Rawak named AD of the Year
She deserves the credit for moving UD into the 21st century. Hard to imagine anyone having an issue with her receiving such an award. It took a lot of confidence, energy, research, coordination, relationship building and salesmanship (and more) to start our transition, and it will take a lot more t...

Re: Hens Offseason
I keep going back to teams like Charleston, JMU, Grand Canyon, St Mary’s, and others. How are they doing it? Don’t reinvent the wheel. Let’s figure out how some mid-majors are thriving in this new world and follow their example. One way is by having recruiting contacts outside of the NY to VA region.
Re: JMU
And JMU’s head coach left this morning for the Vanderbilt job. Well, JMU has positioned itself to be an attractive place for young coaches, so I am sure they will have a lot of worthy candidates to fill that’s position. They have a good shot at getting a solid young coach looking to make his mark f...

Re: Chrissi Rawak named AD of the Year
Happy for the AD. Glad she got “FCS” recognition; she will be irrelevant in “FBS”. Last time I heard, there are 5 female AD’s in the power 5. She will be the next, it's only a matter of time 👀 Absolutely everything she’s doing here is definitely a résumé builder to move up. I just hope she can get ...

Re: 2024 Baseball
UD could have swept Campbell but in the second game leading 4-1 gave up 7 runs in the 5th & 6th innings largely due to walks, hit batters , and a throwing error by a UD Pitcher. The glass 1/2 full version BHB is that the Hens took 2 of 3 from #22 Campbell who had won 8 straight coming in and ha...

Re: JMU athletics
one potential avenue for generating alumni support for athletics is the hiring of well known and national recognized coaches. By no means does it translate into large donations. Of course winning big in the major sports against well known/highly ranked teams is the prime driver for successful colle...
