Re: Live Construction Footage

The foundations for the project are the most important and time consuming part. They are huge. After they pass inspection the soil must be compacted and also pass inspection. It looks like it will still be a while before structural steel is needed. Once the iron workers are scheduled and this proje...

Re: 2019 NFL Draft

Sorry for not being knowledgeable in this, but is the only difference between a camp invitee and a Un-drafted FA is that the FA received a signing bonus? Normally neither receive a signing bonus. 7th round draft pick ... signing bonus & NFL Contract Undrafted FA ... NFL Contract (Reeder & Scarff), ...

Re: 2019 NFL Draft

Scott Day’s announcement said the 6 new Hens going into NFL camps is the 2nd highest in program history; 7 went in 1981. 4 were recruited directly to Delaware; 2 came via transfer. 8 Hens are currently under contract (Nas pending), 3 have camp invites and 2 are currently exploring options ... 13 to...

If anyone gets bored with our construction crews, you can check out ODU's: https://app.oxblue.com/open/Camera2 https://app.oxblue.com/open/Camera3 Didn't realize they were rebuilding foreman. Last I heard was an off campus stadium. Will seat all of 23,000. Big stadiums are all the past. Comfort and...

Re: Live Construction Footage

If Delaware Stadium is not ready for the home opener, some contractors will be paying big penalties to UD for that. It is not a "let us know when you are done" deal. Yep, standard contract language should state just that. Seats and entrances by 8/28 are the fan required elements and I can see both ...

Re: Live Construction Footage

So I am hoping the project is a quicker pace once the foundation work is done. Beginning to wonder if they will be finished in time or will be pulling overtime at the end of August to have things ready. My gut tells me that it will come down to the wire and possibly not be totally ready until mid t...

Re: Live Construction Footage

Smile and be happy .... Things change..... This is going to be one awesome stadium. I particularly like they are adding what should be a great concession concourse, legroom for someone taller than 5'4", while being able to keep the same sight lines and on top of the field feel. On both ends of the ...

Re: Live Construction Footage

I can’t see a zoomed in view so it’s hard for me to make it out but sheet piling is often used to either help in a dewatering process (not sure how shallow or deep the groundwater is in that area) or to hold back soil to allow deep excavations without having to use a step down excavation approach o...

Re: Live Construction Footage

Again, I am impressed with the company performing the work. After tomorrow, they will begin a new phase, but not sure what that will be. We are moving along nicely. :D :D :D As I was pulling in for Pro Day it appeared the core drilling company had packed up and was pulling out; all the new foundati...

Re: Live Construction Footage

Any estimates on how far capacity of the stadium is expected to drop based on the renovation? ...."Stadium capacity, which is presently about 22,000, will decrease slightly because chairback seats take up more space." I haven't heard any actual numbers mentioned by anyone. Across all sports as fewe...
