Re: NJ Article on Spending

The Whitney was part of a university-wide campaign. Had it been athletic specific like UDAF is, I’m sure it would have shown up on the Knight report; but it was not.

As I read Chrissi’s quote, she told KT that but he chose to only print the part meant to inflame.

Re: NJ Article on Spending

I for one, and I know of others that did the same, shifted my annual giving from UDAF to the Whitney project. IMO the $700k UDAF number stated in the article is a misleading. Donations to the Whitney came with UDAF benefits but were not counted as a UDAF donation. Combined, $24.2 million was donated...

Bethune-Cookman looking at conference affiliation options. SWAC and ASUN under consideration. Florida A&M has already left the MEAC for the SWAC. https://hbcugameday.com/2020/06/23/bethune-cookman-issues-statement-on-potential-move/ B-C move to the SWAC is official and is effective for the 21-22 sc...

Re: NJ Article on Spending

Division II think on north campus is alive and well and has Tres in their corner!

The professors quote makes one wonder if the goal is to make athletics the source of the coming budget cuts. Kinda like Eastern Washington; 2% of the university budget and 30% of the proposed cuts.

Re: When will College Football resume? Links and references.

Eastern Washington athletics was 2% of the University budget and covering 30% of the cuts announced. Know any specifics JD? I know we learned how tough things were at E Wash, a few weeks ago. I currently don’t. The info came from a Tweet by a Assoc AD prior to a Eastern Washington BOT meeting to di...

Re: UD's Revised Fall Semester Impact?

Assuming we have full seasons of football and basketball is a suckers bet. The amount of contingency plans needed to be ready to implement has to be staggering.

Re: Hens vs. Duke in 2020-21 NCAAB bracket projection

I don't know if these forecasts picking UD as the CAA Champ are factoring in Mutts' departure. News broke end of May. In the two projected brackets since then, Hens have been No. 16 seeds in play-in games. Before they were a No. 15 seed. Goes to show how little time these “experts” put into the bot...

Trashy, trashing a Prez so committed to athletics. If it’s such a issue I hear Harker is still in the area.

Re: UD's Revised Fall Semester Impact?

Some folks need to grasp the concept that all plans are fluid and putting something out in the public sphere about January, February and March is really silly when you don’t know if the current plan is workable into October and November. Let’s get the fall semester started before we start worrying a...

Re: First Clue - 2020 Football Schedule

Per UD statement “football season will open on the road Sept 5th At JMU.” John, Do you have a link or is this what you were told? I see that the UD is planning a Sep 1 return to campus with practices modified due to cover-19: https://www.delawareonline.com/story/news/2020/06/23/university-delaware-...

Same link from another thread on the Patriot league football schedule rules. https://www.si.com/college/2020/06/22/patriot-league-football-non-conference-fbs-games Combined with the Mike London comment, a schedule of home-home with Nova, Stony & Towson and hosting DelState to complete a 7 game seaso...
