Re: Chrissi Rawak named AD of the Year
Can’t be hiring the wsoc wife to be the new women’s ice hockey coach. Going to cause problems for the school. Universities hire couples all the time. Want to hire a great professor? Better find a "position" for their spouse. Our campus is littered with couples. Slight challenge having the...

Re: News Journal Article Today 03/20/24
you are so wrong in your "spitballing". I'm not woke but the ladies in sports have become quite appealing for many even though MOST don't match the usual physical advantage of men. Actually all you have to do is go to the golf course and watch lovely ladies score on the course 8) . I'd ve...

Re: News Journal Article Today 03/20/24
Unfortunately our UD women's bball team is not even covered on delawareonline. Whether it is due to the paper's limited resources or the team's poor record/following remains unanswered. This snub certainly doesn't benefit our women's recruiting :( perhaps it's because, no matter how much the woke c...

Re: UMass to the MAC
At the rate they're going they may replace Delaware in the CAA https://temple-news.com/the-outcome-is-the-outcome-temple-athletics-struggles-to-financially-adapt/ Yeesh. WTF is going on at Temple. No interest at all in their B-Ball and F-Ball programs from any ex-players??!!! well, its.....Temple. ...

Re: UMass to the MAC
Saban probably got out before the players end up making more than their coaches…couldn’t let his ego take a hit like that. I think it was Dabo Swinny (but I wouldn’t bet on my memory about the name, but it was one of the big-time football coaches) who said he didn’t offer players huge money o...

Re: CFP Approves 5+7 Playoff Format
The first game under the new format hasn’t even been played, and discussions are underway to change it. https://sports.yahoo.com/sources-cfp-circulating-new-14-team-model-to-include-3-automatic-spots-for-big-tensec-2-for-accbig-12-231454030.html So funny how for years they opined that a FBS playoff...

Re: NIL- Blue Hen Collective
Jay Bilas chimed in on NIL saying that athletes are now essentially employees and that they should be under contract with buyout clauses. I think it makes sense. Every other professional sport has rules and regs that the athletes have to follow and it is not a free for all like the NIL is in "c...

Re: CFP Approves 5+7 Playoff Format
This is Big Boy football and not the FCS playoffs. There is way too much money involved to turn the BCS playoffs into an “everyone gets a chance” tournament. The fact that the G5 schools even get one seat at the adults table is a great thing. Don’t hold your breath for a 9-conference automatic qual...

Re: 2024 Schedule
Army is moving to the AAC next year so they'll have conference games they didn't have as an independent. Their schedule will be in flux until all of this is sorted out. However, if they can get ND on the schedule I'm sure they'll find a way. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39525854...

Re: Home and Home Set with UCONN
CR brings in OOC opponents and to my memory in the OOC schedules she has approved, exactly ZERO have been from NC. The conference she inherited and has managed to get of out of sets that portion of our schedule. Facts are such an impediment to the hate some of you keep spewing. Think they meant non...

Re: Hens at UVA 2026
personally I disagree with the pundits who say that we must prove our strength in FBS before adding capacity. It's thinking small, which I get is the way the small wonder state thinks, but when Georgia Southern made the move to the Sun Belt, they IMMEDIATELY added 6,000 seats going into their first ...
