Re: Richmond to the patriot league in 2025

I can't see that as an issue. Prior to joining the CAA Towson was patriot league from 1997 to 2003. I would expect Towson to seek a return to the Patriot league along with Nova and maybe W&M. that would put the Patriot at 11 teams for football. and who knows maybe they add Stoney for an even 12...

Re: CUSA - October Schedule

I agree 100%. Same. Like I've said many times before, I'm all for playing teams with a state in their name. Not schools I have to Google their location, mascot, etc. I know they're not traditional rivals, but Delaware has to start somewhere at the FBS(ish) level. 😂 So how do you feel about playing ...

Re: Richmond to the patriot league in 2025

IMHO, it is doubtful that the Patriot League would invite W&M because all of the current schools are private, not public . Years ago, that was the stated reason as to why UD was not welcome there in spite of the rivalries that existed with Lehigh and Bucknell. The college football scene is obvi...

Re: Home and Home with CCU

Nice home and home…keep ‘em coming. Still would love to see Temple, Navy, Army, UMass, ODU, App State, Georgia Southern, and others in a home and home. I would love to see Temple at the Linc. Sadly with Army’s current non-conference schedule situation due to their impending move to the AAC (having ...

Agree Ralph. I really like this color scheme (Mainland HS in Florida). Just need to throw some blue wings on the helmet. https://static.hudl.com/users/prod/16134512_a1515646f4ca473d8256a25d1f8d45f1.jpg https://www.gannett-cdn.com/presto/2022/10/08/NDNJ/f8e1c5cc-13f4-4061-97c4-5baf12ae7aae-MAINLAND_...

Re: CAA Championship Game: Towson

Ugh! Some kind of dreary day. Towson took the Hens to school, but good. It will be interesting to see if TU can do anything in the NCAAs, probably won’t have to go through a a play in game. Better luck next year for the Hens, gotta find replacements for big contributors and put some pieces together...

Re: Group of Five Playoff?

This feels like the G5 would become the new "FCS". I literally said this several years ago. there is virtually no chance for the G5 to realistically compete with the power schools in a playoff for football. it is such a different animal than basketball....Let take their ball ond go play w...

Re: Transfer Portal Open

You mean playing a sport you love while getting a free education aint enough?? Thats getting screwed? Yes, the athletes were receiving SOME compensation, but, in many cases, it was not nearly equitable enough. Some athletes weren't even getting much of an education at all. This isn't even a point o...

Re: Transfer Portal Open

The schools - particularly those in the traditional power conferences - are largely responsible for the chaos that now reigns by playing their criminally greedy games for decades. Now, the players and their reps are over-correcting way, way too far. Sadly for fans and supporters, there doesn't seem...

Re: Transfer Portal Open

Yep, playing for your "dream school" is over just wait for the interviews where the kid says how he grew up in Ohio and always wanted to be a Buckeye....his parents and grandparents were Buckeyes....but Michigan tacked on an additional half million to his NIL and he's now a Wolverine :rol...

Re: Transfer Portal Open

One has to seriously wonder about the future of college football (and hoops) with this nonsense. the future of college football is it is already dead. we just cant see it as clearly yet. what made college football great is gone and never will come back and I expect to see a steep decline in popular...

Re: In Memoriam: David Roselle

Remembered this this weekend, one of the fond memories of Roselle was at the 2023 Spring Game and him chatting up soon to transfer (or already had) Shawn Johnson down on the field while watching that spring game. Good salesmanship by the University President. i often saw a lot of vitriol to him on ...

Re: Hens Offseason

hire a new coach. MI has proven to not be the guy.... I suggest you start a gofundme page to pay off the 5 years remaining on the contract, 2.6M or so. a guy who has been at UD this long with little to moderate success is not who we should be aspiring to....he's bee here 9 years with barely above ....

Re: Intterview With President Assanis

How many students from outside UD's region are going to want to come to UD and pay out-of-state tuition with limited financial aid? You are going to have to explain why a student from Texas or Tennessee would have more limited financial aid, than the students from New Jersey currently do. i think t...
