Re: I’m awake - UD to CUSA

Expect MVC to allow Missouri State to stay in the MVC as they would be at 5 if they went to the MAC for an affiliate membership. Not sure where you're getting your info, friend. That seems counter to news reports that MSU will release info about the future of its men's soccer, swimming, and diving ...

Ah, that's too bad. The Old 9th Ward ain't what she used to be for sure. Fortunately, there are still a few solid areas on the ward's outskirts.

Re: I’m awake - UD to CUSA

Did not know the extent of the mutual interest from the MAC. As the MAC seemed closer than the Summit for soccer. I'm confused by your logic. The MAC does not sponsor men's soccer, so UD would have had to find affiliate membership for the sport either way. With CUSA adding Missouri State, the confe...

William & Mary is in position now to be the new king of the CAA…. The geographical epicenter The only wealthy publicly-sponsored institution in the East slower and more reticent to respond to change than UD is W&M. They're the Aunt Bess of FCS football. She was my father's auntie, who lived...

Re: Richmond to the patriot league in 2025

As poor William said to poor Mary, "Pour, Mary, pour."

Not a good decade to be a Griffin fan. What is it with them? Four chief rivals & former conference mates have now left them behind.

Thank goodness the Hens got out right before the roof fell in.

No, of course not. It's business, man. You can only play in conferences that express mutual interest.

Re: Future Schedule Updates

These are the home and home games we wanted to schedule but could not in the past. See ya FCS!!! 100%, sir. Getting more attractive home games and developing/rekindling rivalries with regional teams is what it's all about for me. I'm way less interested in the post-season, especially in the short-t...

Re: Conversation Starter

Jimmy Flynn was an exceptional sprinter, though most who remember his days as an athlete at UD recall him as a great halfback on the Admiral's teams. My mother's family & Jimmy's were close out in western PA, so I got to know him while he was a student at UD and, of course, later when he coached...

Re: I’m awake - UD to CUSA

It has been reported that one Missouri State donor has a nasty cough. It is covered. Ha ha. Yes. That $5M entrance fee isn't going to hold a single school back from reclassifying if they really want to do it. In the long term, it's a mere drop in the bucket to the hundreds of millions schools spend...

Sadly, the Inner Harbor has seen its better days. The pandemic killed it off. Charm City has so much to offer, but the Inner Harbor is no longer a place you want to visit. There's a plan afoot to knock down much of the now-abandoned complex for redevelopment.
