Re: Richmond to the patriot league in 2025
William & Mary must be apopletic at the state of the conference the way they perceive themselves institutionally. Nothing even close to their caliber as a full member of the CAA anymore.

Re: Stadium Expansion & New Football Facility
Andy Reid also just made the claim during an interview that Scott Swift played for UD: https://people.com/kansas-city-chiefs-c ... ce-8552013.
(The author of the People Magazine article is also a UD alum and made sure to insert the University's full name).

Re: Future Schedules
Welp, looks like I'm making a trip back to WFU in 2025. Not sure who I'm supposed to root for . . . In total honesty the answer is Wake Forest. I want both of my programs to succeed, but the Deacs losing to the Hens in their first FBS season would be a terrible omen for the state of Wake's program. ...

Re: From Albany to Miami U
The carousel that is his college career continues - from ODU to SUNY-Albany and now to Miami. Such is college football in 2024. Good luck, young man. I'm all for players getting the opportunity to move if a situation doesn't work for them, but this type of untethered freedom is probably not in the ...

Re: Del State Schedule update
This is fine. The only concern I had about UD's continued relationship with Delaware State was that institutional politics would cause UD to keep having to play away games in Dover. Playing a yearly tune-up game at home against them is fine, and it lets Del State's athletic department get an extra c...

Re: I’m awake - UD to CUSA
Liberty star QB entered the portal today. The downside of G5 football in a NIL world. So you’re saying we have a chance… What I’m saying is chances are if UD has a CUSA offensive or defensive POY they wouldn’t be able to compete with P2 NIL offers. This is correct, though it would be even worse for...

Re: I’m awake - UD to CUSA
How I wouldn’t wish for UD to go to the godforsaken Fiesta Bowl against Oregon. Some fans here rather would UD make a deep FCS playoff run with the hopes of a national championship then go to an NY6 bowl and lose badly to an Oregon. It's a mentality I don't really understand. It's like holding your...

Re: I’m awake - UD to CUSA
Long article from The Athletic today. Outstanding detail of the last two years in CUSA in regards to realignment and accomplishments! I would suggest this as "required reading" for UD fans. It's a lengthy story--but well worth the read. https://theathletic.com/5165372/2023/12/29/conferenc...

Re: I’m awake - UD to CUSA
FSU is suing the ACC over the grant of rights. Could be the prelude to a breakup of the ACC and another East Coast football realignment.

Re: Delaware @ Colorado in 2025
Some people thought our FBS schedule wasn't going to move the needle    we're playing the team with the most media attention in college football in our first month, and it's not out of the question we beat them. People preferred to play Bryant University over this    y...

Re: Delaware @ Colorado in 2025
That’s a at Dover year as well. We could be opening 2025 with 2 road games.  FBS schedules will have 2 open Saturdays that year. We should categorically refuse to play away games in Dover. It is very, very rare that FCS teams host FBS teams. One of the only recent occasions of this occur...

Re: Stadium Expansion & New Football Facility
I've never heard of Scott Swift playing football for UD before that, it's not even mentioned in this UD Messenger article about him from over a decade ago: https://www1.udel.edu/udmessenger/vol17no3/stories/alumni_swift.html. I figure it might be a Joe B situation where he played freshman football f...

Re: Stadium Expansion & New Football Facility
The McCreary Football Complex is indeed a really impressive facility, and it was funded largely with a single $20 million donation from one alum, Bob McCreary. UD needs to find a McCreary (does Elizabeth Snyder like football?) Another very important thing to fund is NIL - Wake spent heavily on new a...
