Re: Off Season Portal Thread

It's unofficial, but Jeff Goodman pegs it at about 42% of all division 1 players have entered the portal. Yes, we're above average, but not by much. This is a systemic problem that folks like Jay Bilas begged for. Good for players, horrible for fans. Michigan won with a 100% portal team, but Michiga...

Re: Off Season Portal Thread

Look at our guys thar have entered the portal and the portal guys we've added. Over the years, with very little exception, the # of portal entries is more than 1. Nomads don't put down roots.

Re: Schedule

My guess is that someone at CUSA got wind that the Sunbelt was going to release their schedule today with La Tech in it so they went ahead with a "midnight" release of their own (also with La Tech). I can't see any other reason for a nearly 10:00 pm release. Gamesmanship as the court battl...

Re: The Odds: Iona

Without a healthy Brown, Reilly, or Njoku, the team will look perpetually overmatched. They can play well enough in spurts, but it's not sustainable. I really think we could be a 500 team or even better with everyone. If history repeats itself for our Hens, 3-5 of our top guys will be diminished or ...

Re: DSU Post Game Thoughts

UD is going to have to fix this camera problem or the complaints from around the conference will continue to get Louder. The field cameras and end zone shots appeared to be high def but the primary camera was undeniably awful. It looked like it was a new camera and they forgot to remove the plastic...

Re: First Game - Delaware State

Woo-hoo!! The "sidewalk concert" 45 minutes prior to the game will still happen. When the flight path was announced, it looked like it was going away. I, for one, am very happy that it isn't. It's really fun when I have guests.

Re: Future Non Conference Schedules

The SEC is going to a 9 game conference schedule next year. Says they will also require at least 1 out of conference game against Big 10, Big 12, or ACC and that schedules for next year will be impacted (obviously). I sure hope it doesn't impact the Vanderbilt game. That looks like a fun one for tra...

Re: First Game - Delaware State

I'm fine with everything...except the band. From what it looks like, they'll perform in front of the Bob roughly 3 hours before the game. The grandstand march was the greatest but I did enjoy them in front of the Bob about 45-50 minutes before kickoff. I'm not a tailgater, and neither are at least 6...

Re: Preseason Conference USA media poll

Given the step up and the tough schedule, I could see them going anywhere from 4th to 11th. I think 8th is a realistic spot but I'm hopeful that they're competitive all season long.

Would Delaware be eligible for a cut of any exit fees owed to the league?

Re: The 3-3-5 Defense

Vulnerability to the seam routes didn't hurt us terribly this past year, but tightend seam routes killed us two years ago.

Re: CUSA membership activity

They were thoroughly outplayed......but getting 5 turnovers sure goes a long way.
