Re: Richmond to the patriot league in 2025

Nicely put BG. Maybe in a year or so, you won’t have to keep explaining it? But there will always be some that pine for the Ivy or PL. At least my dream of UD competing in athletics, well really football at a higher level is finally being realized. Those that dream of competing academically with th...

Re: Richmond to the patriot league in 2025

While there are the academic and geographical fits for Nova to join the PL, competitively, why would you want to add a program that will likely dominate the league for years. W&M should be a gimmie but if I’m not sure if I’m a PL coach that I’m in for the cats joining. I think Nova recruiting w...

Re: Hens #19 FCS

There are no guarantees on anything anymore. You can't count on any 2024 transfers (or any player) being here beyond this season depending on what their options are. Everything is year-to-year now at all levels. Five of the last seven Heisman winners started at a different school (Mayfield, Murray,...

Re: Hens #19 FCS

With our schedule, anything less than 9-2 should be major cause for concern heading into our first season in CUSA. The coaching staff should feel the pressure to perform at a very high level in '24. WIth all the investment at stake, I'd be shocked if the leash tied to Carty wasn't very short in '25...

Re: Richmond to the patriot league in 2025

Why couldn’t Nova, W&M, Towson. Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Albany and Stony Brook break away and start their own northeast football conference? It’s a shame what the CAA has become. But as others have already said, so happy that UD finally abandoned that sinking ship. That’s a shame. I...

Re: Richmond to the patriot league in 2025

If W&M and Nova leave.....CAA Football is toast. Maine UNH URI Bryant Albany Stony Brook Monmouth Towson Hampton Elon NC A&T Campbell Don't know what happens to the remaining teams.....but that group is an abortion of a conference. Not our problem Geoffrey! Yep, good luck 1710AB3E-337A-4BAA...

Re: Richmond to the patriot league in 2025

William & Mary is in position now to be the new king of the CAA…. The geographical epicenter The only wealthy publicly-sponsored institution in the East slower and more reticent to respond to change than UD is W&M. They're the Aunt Bess of FCS football. She was my father's auntie, who lived...

Re: Richmond to the patriot league in 2025

Have to think we will be seeing announcements soon from Nova and W&M about moving to the Patriot. What could have been for the CAA…☹️ Anyhow, they may as well rename it the MEAC at this point. Would have loved to see any of the aforementioned schools join us in CUSA (Nova, W&M, Richmond), b...

Re: CUSA - October Schedule

My niece's daughter will be an incoming freshman next fall. She created this using internet tools. That’s great! Maybe she could work in images of the state of Delaware into those feathers…. Kind of like, depending on who is looking at it some will only see feathers and others will see the state….

I like the old logo, but I'm down for something a little newer and more aggressive too. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pw/AP1GczPstRIms2pOaUY5m0ZTNP18hawnIZ9LKyHFRWw9gkpuXhmw6jQA41Pn5mx9OkA9aO9mpuEcsvh1YM5tLKLujuD1ooKkuR_BDugtsbWQdnnA_EMAiO7yJmagw86Xnq3yAhx4YDwGNJP6wuFN_68QxAX_VA=w1080-h1080-s-n...

Re: CUSA - October Schedule

To quote the great Thomas Sowell, "there are no solutions, only tradeoffs." In order to join FBS, this is the trade-off. There was no perfect solution available. I don't like the mid-week games....at all...but it really is a small slate of games that directly impact Delaware and, on avera...

Re: I’m awake - UD to CUSA

Good luck in your tournament. I've always enjoyed playing poker...just haven't done it at the public gambling spots. If you are extending your stay in Choctaw, visit nearby Lake Texoma (great fishing...I also chartered a 40' sailboat for a weekend a while back...nice boating community). Did a Trail...

Re: I’m awake - UD to CUSA

Thank You Sir, Choctaw in OK is somewhat high on my list to get to. Multiple WSOP circuit events during the year and they seem to be very well attended. Memorial Day weekend will be my 2nd tourny since NY, 2 day event at Live in Philly. Anyway I think the school would be a nice addition to the leag...
