Re: Richmond to the patriot league in 2025
I bet W&M will end up in Patriot. They may be public but they are very highly rated academically. If W&M and Nova join that would give the PL 10 teams which would mean 8 or 9 conference games and 2 or 3 out of conference games. PL teams typically have 5 OOC games that usually includes 2 Ivi...

Re: Richmond to the patriot league in 2025
The following is excerpted from the UR statement on the move to the PL. I think the last sentence should really say that the review was made in response to continued changes in the CAA football landscape but they decided to word it more politely.: “The University says that the decision to leave the ...

Re: Richmond to the patriot league in 2025
JMU’s departure led to the CAA adding Monmouth, Hampton, Elon, NC A&T, and Campbell. Perhaps to protect themselves against our departure but those moves may have hastened our departure.

Re: Richmond to the patriot league in 2025
No-Va next? Probably. With HC, UR and Nova, the top of the PL would be better than the top of the CAA. Also Nova would have some nice rivalries with other Catholic schools like Fordham and Georgetown (Battle of the Blue 2.0 annual Nova beatdown). W&M incoming? Wouldn't surprise me. CAA football...

8) News Friday morning :D John O'Connor from the Richmond Times Dispatch reported that Richmond may be leaving CAA FB, as that league continues to, ah, "evolve". https://richmond.com/sports/college/schools/university-richmond/university-of-richmond-coastal-athletic-association-william-mar...

Re: 2024 Post Mortem
Isn’t DeLuca signed for a while (with a decent sized buy out clause)? A couple UD lacrosse alums were talking about DeLuca staying because he has a LOT of support…including financial. But, I’ve also heard DeLuca is on Ohio State’s radar…and they just dumped $24 million  into their new lacros...

^^^^^^ That's pretty funny stuff, right there. Want a closer look at some real up-to-date crime stats, instead of some guy blowing smoke? https://arcgisportal.baltimorepolice.org/publiccrimemap/ Fells Point...so far this year. 15 aggravated assaults, 6 robberies, 2 shootings. Toss in a bunch ...

Does “keeping him happy” include joining a good lax conference?
[/quote]
Much less important than keeping DeLuca happy but joining a good conference is important to keep me happy.

Re: Fairfield: Part Deux
From Inside Lacrosse website: Delaware: This is their show. Delaware has won the last two CAA Tournament championships and has NCAA Tournament experience unlike other teams. Obviously some of the personnel has changed, but it’s created a high standard in Newark. It’s tough to find an attackman pair ...
