Re: UD Budget

Scott has done a fantastic job for us, and this is very disappointing. It clearly has nothing to do with his performance, but is rather a view at just how bad things are financially in the UDAD and UD generally. Scott, you will land on your feet running! Of that I am confident! Yes sir! A great fri...

Re: Spring Season?

Towson had huge budget issues prior to COVID and had already been making deep athletic cuts and they can only be worse now. They are the one CAA school I could see discussing the dropping of football. I perused Towson’s board for potential thoughts on this subject and didn’t come across any referen...

Re: 2020 MLB and Phillies thread

C, I didn't exactly go out on a limb but I think the Dodgers have been the best overall team for a few years and Mookie Betts put them over the hump. I thought it was going to go 7 games. Tampa Bays Cash Pulling a dominant Snell after 73 pitches was puzzling. Pulling Snell is a classic case of coac...

Re: Schedule

Personally, I’d add a OOC cupcake to start the season and keep the bye week a bye week. A 2nd OCC game means nothing to winning the conference and with only 16 teams in the playoffs no more than JMU and the north winner will be in the playoffs anyway. A 2nd OOC game means nothing. Why get someone h...

Re: Schedule

A Delaware State game would have to be played Sat, April 10th. The Hornet's have games scheduled Feb 20th and 27th. I stand by my opinion posted above ... a Feb 27th cupcake game and that's it. Or 2 cupcake games; Feb 20th and Feb 27th. That game or those games serve a purpose; getting ready for the...

I took a walk around the outside today. The construction crews there are clearly in cleanup-wrap up mode.

A) there will be a flood of kids hitting the professional ranks in 2022.

B) think back to the day you no longer had to live as a broke-ass college student.

Sometimes it’s just time to take your best shot.

Re: College Football TV Schedule and Game Discussion

The NBA had their bubble while COVID raged outside.

Colleges can’t afford that but if people are willing to follow prodigals it can be semi-recreated. Getting 18-22 year olds to go on strict lockdowns rules has got to be tough.

Not to say it can’t or won’t happen but I’ll point out that Anderson and Allen have stayed with the program for 4 years now. Win a CAA championship they could well transfer; if there is unfinished business I wouldn’t bet they move on. They’ve shown a commitment so far that’s to be commended.

William and Mary reinstates women’s gymnastics, volleyball, and swimming/diving to avoid a Title IX law suit. Original plan was certainly not well thought out...to say the least. That’s 39 scholarships! Hard to believe something so basic was missed that badly. The ball I’ve been waiting to drop in ...

Re: Delaware rival Towson opts out of 2021 spring football

According to todays News Journal, Delaware rival Towson opts out of 2021 spring football. The article says Delaware still plans on playing. I wonder how these two games on Delaware's schedule will be filled. More importantly will other CAA teams opt out before April. Also posted on Twitter yesterda...
