Re: Field Hockey, Lacrosse and Men's Soccer Conference?
Maine is actually a founding member of the football conference that they are in along with UNH and URI......all other members are later additions. It always makes me laugh when other school's fans treat them like red-headed step children.

Re: UMass to the MAC
The only 2 men's sports that I can see UD realistically cutting that would save money are:
1. Men's Soccer
2. Baseball
And those would probably be the 2 on the chopping block if any cuts are made.

Re: UMass to the MAC
Almost every school in CUSA is a geographical outlier in some form or another, as is UMass in the MAC. For many FBS schools that's the case, where conferences spread time zones and even coasts. It's sometimes true of FCS and even lower level conferences, especially those out West. It's just the cos...

Re: UMass to the MAC
Wow...this pretty much cements UD as a complete geographical outlier in CUSA....welcome to the club!

Re: 2024 Schedule
Why don't you buy Maine's game at Oklahoma on Nov.2? We'll sell it to you for $735K ($635 buy + $100K finders fee). Then you'll have a premiere FBS game on your schedule. :D With $200M of athletic donations, why is Maine selling themselves to OU for a beatdown? Exposure. Maine hopes to get some pub...

Re: 2024 Schedule
Your schedule seems like a final FU from the CAA.....although they threw you the "don't have to travel North" bone.

Re: Future of CAA
From DC Hen: Sounds great for Maine. Alfond & Morse are like Maine’s Carpenter family. Maine, UNH, URI, Bryant, Albany, Stony Brook might be well served to have America East add football. That would give them a more NE oriented conference, mostly state universities. Some of us would love to see...

Re: Future of CAA
Yes thanks Russ. The article also popped up in my news feed The Patriot would be a perfect fit for the three schools as they are very conscious about “peer schools”. But as the article mentions W&M would probably need to join as an all sports participant where Richmond and Nofun would only be f...

Re: 2024 Schedule
What are we down to? 5K or 6K season ticket holders? Frankly, the focus should be exclusively on growing new, young fans. If a few of us 5K old timers (I'm 52) stay on, great, but we really shouldn't be a big part of the calculus. As was mentioned somewhere else here in the last couple of days, the...

Utah collective getting it done https://x.com/fos/status/1735018708815216734?s=46  Basketball players and gymnasts getting new cars? Nope. Definitely not playing that game. Now, if anyone wants to contribute to the NIL for the Mechanical Engineer students so that they all get a new car, let me...
