"Interesting to also note that the military budget is almost $1 trillion a year."

Re: COVID-19

Very interesting show now running on PBS about development of the Salk polio virus. Very topical. Salk was under enormous pressure to do no harm during the clinical trials as all of the subjects were children many of whom had parents of friends and close associates. A remarkable man and scientist.

"As the death toll passes 80,000 on the way to who knows where." Oh paleeze!. This is a county of over 330 million. In the most recent year stats available show an average of 7800 a day died in the USA from accident, cancer, diabetes, heart disease, acts of God, snakebite and God knows what else. Yo...

Pat- In them old days, just down the road from your house , lived Joe Biden (D) & Bill Roth (R) on opposite sides . Biden ran the swimming pool which is still there. Both great guys! How about that for political history? Belonged to that pool for a few years, was a member when they redid it 10-15 y...

Re: Transfer

I'm wondering if we don't have a season will we lose some redshirt seniors like Colby Reeder. He did not play last year and probably has more than enough credits to graduate. He is the one that comes to mind but I'm sure they are others in a similar situation.

"So I was just thinking that if things do not straighten out for a football season this year,"

It looks like a fait accompli for the colleges as the NFL is looking strongly at Saturday games this year. College at UD this fall may be like it was 130 years ago. No extracurriculars, just the books.

Re: COVID-19

During the reign of Henry VIII there appeared a virulent disease called the sweating sickness. Victims fell ill in the morning and died by Sundown. The disease ravished nobility and commoner alike and faded out after a year or so. Scientists believed that it was a strain of hantavirus. I’m wondering...
